Product Safety, Precautions & Contraindications
This document applies to all Comprelia products, including devices that utilize vibration therapy, heat therapy, and air traction or decompression therapy. All users must review these guidelines before operating any Comprelia device.
Comprelia products are non-medical wellness devices. They have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA, Health Canada, or any other regulatory authority. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
1. General Warnings
- Comprelia devices are designed solely for general wellness, comfort, and relaxation.
- No information provided by Comprelia — on our website, in our marketing materials, or through customer support — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- If you have any medical concerns, consult a licensed healthcare professional before use.
- Discontinue use immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, numbness, tingling, radiating symptoms, or unexplained discomfort.
- Comprelia devices must not replace medical care or professional treatment.
2. Precautions — Use With Caution or Medical Guidance
Use Comprelia products with caution — and consult your healthcare provider first — if you have or suspect any of the following:
- Controlled hypertension
- Osteopenia or osteoporosis
- Pregnancy (medical guidance is required before using vibration or traction functions)
- Diabetes
- Varicose veins (depending on severity)
- Abnormal sensations, including numbness or tingling
- Sensitivity to pressure, heat, or vibration
- Recent injury, trauma, or surgery (use only after adequate healing and medical clearance)
- Mild scoliosis or spinal deformity
- Medications that affect sensation, blood pressure, or blood thickness
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Mild circulatory issues
- Recent cosmetic procedures on the treatment area
- Dermatological sensitivity or reactive skin conditions
When in doubt, reduce intensity levels and shorten session times.
3. Contraindications — Do Not Use Unless Cleared by a Physician
Do not use any Comprelia device if any of the following apply to you:
Skin and Tissue Conditions
- Open wounds, active infections, burns, bruises, tumors, rashes, blisters, or skin inflammation in or near the treatment area
Circulatory and Vascular Disorders
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or history of embolism
- Severe varicose veins
- Peripheral arterial disease or insufficiency
- Phlebitis or clotting disorders
- Bleeding disorders or current anticoagulant therapy
Bone and Structural Disorders
- Bone fractures or recent fractures
- Myositis ossificans
- Severe scoliosis or spinal deformity
- Osteomyelitis
Neurological Conditions
- Severe sensory impairment
- Epilepsy or seizure disorders
Cardiac and Organ Disease
- Pacemaker, implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), or any implanted electrical device
- Acute or severe cardiac, liver, or kidney disease
- Cardiomyopathy or similar severe cardiac conditions
Surgical and Implant Considerations
- Recent surgical sites that have not fully healed
- Metal implants in or near the traction application area
Heat Sensitivity Conditions
- Photoallergies
- Lupus, porphyria, or other heat-sensitive disorders
- Hyperpigmentation conditions that may be worsened by heat
Additional Contraindications
- Unexplained pain in the treatment area
- Pregnancy without explicit medical clearance for traction or vibration
- Active infection in or near the treatment region
- Known or suspected malignancy unless cleared by an oncologist
4. Body Area Restrictions
Do not use Comprelia devices directly on the following areas:
- Eyes or eyelids
- Throat (front of the neck)
- Genitalia or groin
- Over major arteries (carotid or femoral)
- Open wounds or unhealed surgical incisions
- Regions with active inflammation or infection
5. Material Allergy Notice
Comprelia devices may contain components made from silicone, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), ABS plastic, polyurethane foam, nylon, and metal. Do not use any device if you have known allergies to any of these materials. If you develop skin irritation during use, discontinue immediately.
6. Heat Therapy Warnings
Do not use the heat function if you have:
- Reduced heat sensitivity or inability to detect temperature changes
- Circulatory disorders
- Active skin conditions or open wounds in the treatment area
- Applied topical creams such as menthol, capsaicin, or analgesic balms (these can amplify heat and cause burns)
- Any medical condition that may be aggravated by heat exposure
Monitor the skin during and after use. If redness, discomfort, or unusual warmth develops, stop immediately and allow the area to cool.
7. Vibration Therapy Warnings
Avoid using vibration functions if you have:
- Active inflammation in the treatment area
- Open wounds
- Severe varicose veins
- Muscle tears or severe muscular injuries
- Sensory impairment or neuropathy
Do not apply vibration directly over bones, surgical implants, tumors, or metal hardware.
8. Traction and Decompression Warnings
The air traction function applies gentle decompression forces to the cervical spine. Do not use this function if you have:
- Spinal instability of any kind
- Recent neck or back surgery
- Severe scoliosis or structural spinal deformity
- Severe osteoporosis
- Disc extrusion or herniation without explicit medical approval
The device must not restrict circulation or breathing. If discomfort, unusual pressure, numbness, or tingling develops at any point during use, stop immediately and consult your healthcare provider before resuming.
9. Environmental and Electrical Safety
- Do not use Comprelia devices in wet environments, including baths, showers, or pools.
- Keep all charging components away from water and other liquids.
- Do not operate near flammable gases or in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Do not modify any device, battery, or power component.
- Do not use any device with a damaged cord, charger, battery, or housing. Contact support for a replacement.
- Charge only with the provided USB-C cable or a cable that meets the device's input specifications.
10. When to Stop Using the Product
Stop use immediately and consult your healthcare provider if:
- Pain increases during or after a session
- You experience numbness, tingling, or radiating symptoms
- Dizziness, headache, or nausea develops
- Skin irritation, swelling, redness, or discoloration appears
- Any unexplained or worsening symptoms arise
11. Children and Restricted User Groups
Comprelia devices are not intended for use by:
- Children under 18
- Individuals with cognitive impairment that prevents safe operation
- Individuals who are unable to operate the device independently
- Individuals who cannot communicate discomfort or pain
If a device is used by or near a vulnerable individual, direct supervision by a responsible adult is required at all times.
12. Testimonials, Reviews, and Marketing Representations
- Customer testimonials and reviews reflect individual experiences only. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.
- Some testimonials may be from customers who received free or discounted products in exchange for an honest review. Any such compensation is disclosed where required.

- Professional endorsements, where shown, represent the individual opinion of the practitioner and do not constitute a clinical recommendation for any specific medical condition.
13. Modification, Misuse, and Warranty Void Conditions
Warranty and liability protections are void if:
- The device has been modified, disassembled, or repaired by anyone other than Comprelia
- The device has been used in a manner not described in the user manual
- Safety guidelines or contraindications listed in this document have been disregarded
- The device has been used while sleeping, unless the product explicitly states it is safe to do so
- The device has been applied to restricted body areas listed in Section 4
14. Limitation of Liability
Comprelia provides its products on an as-is basis for general comfort and relaxation purposes only. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Comprelia shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use or misuse of its products, including but not limited to use contrary to the guidelines in this document. By purchasing and using any Comprelia product, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, using, or interacting with any Comprelia device or accessing Comprelia content, you acknowledge that you:
- Have read and understand these safety guidelines in their entirety
- Assume all risks associated with the use of the device
- Agree that Comprelia is not liable for outcomes resulting from misuse or use contrary to the contraindications listed above
- Understand that this product is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical care
